Vixen VMC260L Telescope with Sphinx SXD Mount 2638XD Product Info

The Vixen VMC260L Telescope with Sphinx SXD Mount 2638XD features a large 260mm aperture, yet is compact imageand light weight, weighing in at just 22 pounds. The catadioptric optical design features two element corrector lens in front of the secondary mirror. Vixen made this Telescope with aberrations from the spherical mirrors are corrected perfectly. The focusing systems is accomplished by primary mirror movement. The Vixen VMC260L provides sharp, high contrast images.

The Vixen VMC260LDG Catadioptric GP-Trim telescope, however, is not just another catadioptric telescope. The open tube design of the The Vixen VMC260LDG Catadioptric GP-Trim telescope eliminates the dew problem that is common with conventional Schmidt-Cassegrain systems. You can even tweak the collimation on the The Vixen VMC260LDG Catadioptric telescope via pairs of push-pull collimation screws. The Vixen Sphinx SXD Mount 2503 incorporates one piece hardened steel RA and DEC shafts with needle bearings throughout, the new Vixen Sphinx D can handle a load capacity up to 50 lbs. This Vixen Mount comes complete with PEC and the incredibly accurate SX Polar Finder Scope.
