High-quality vials are ideal for growing drosophila or other insects. Straight wall shell design allows for easy racking, filling, and plugging. Vials are available in three materials and two packaging formats. Polypropylene vials are economically priced, autoclavable, and virtually unbreakable. Polystyrene vials are clear, providing a safe and economical alternative to glass vials. Scratch-resistant K-Resin® copolymer vials offer glasslike clarity and are ideal for microscopic examination. K-Resin vials are more flexible than polystyrene vials, which makes them excellent for freezing and shipping specimens. Neither the polystyrene nor the K-Resin vials are autoclavable.
