The Komet Spinbar is made from a highly energetic, Samarium-Cobalt magnet encapsulated in Teflon* PTFE resin. This magnetic material and the octagonal shape of the stirring bar produce exceptional power although the length is only 5cm (2") and the diameter is 2.1cm (53/64").

Eight edges generate strong turbulence so liquids are thoroughly mixed. Stirring bar stability is not impaired in vessels with curved bottoms. The stirring bar transmits torque loads two to three times larger than those of conventional stirring bars of this length, which significantly improves efficiency.
