Engineered for optimum flatness to provide uniform agar thickness. Venting ribs on inside cover allow free circulation of air and prevent condensation buildup, enabling optimum culture growth and media shelf life. Gamma radiation sterilized.

Contact plates are ideal for environmental studies to determine levels of microbial contamination of surfaces. Molded-in grid patterns on the bottom dish facilitate counting and locating colonies. Lip on bottom dish enables contamination-free handling. Stacking rings on the lid and bottom help dishes to stack better without sliding. When a convex bottom dish is filled with 16.5–17.5mL of media, the media surface is raised to a convex shape.
