Cimmaron Mount 1-pc Base For Bad Boy Picatinny Steel Blued - The Bad Boy mount, like many other picatinny rail mounts is one of the strongest and most versatile on the market. It utilizes a longer anti-cantilever staking lug to minimize horizontal cantilever torque and to prevent side to side movement of any picatinny based rail system. The cantilever can be cantilevered in one of two places: up front - down below the top rail - or across the top and bottom rail. This feature eliminates any possible torque that could come loose from the clamping system. The mount uses a one piece bolt assembly. The rear scope mounting boss and lug are held in place by a spring loaded bolt clamping mechanism. This means that the clamping knob that the fore end of the mount uses to hold the optic in place horizontally is an added strength feature. The fore end of the mount uses a tri-clamp system that clamps to the rail with a spring clamp. This feature eliminates any unwanted movement that could happen from wear or misalignment of the clamping knob.
