Three-stage design features a water-bath type cooling coil. The cooling coil, which circulates through the base stand, will absorb shocks or vibrations from falling objects or from shaking incubators. Slacks in the base stand allow for easy inventory and increased safety. A water bath, which circulates the air within the base stand, provides still and smoother lid operation. Aspirators reduce the chances of breakage from blocked vents. A water bath filled with 50% a liquid nitrogen (an alternate to chemical) solution, which prevents acids and alkalis, also prevents acids and alkalis from contaminating the hood. Environmental controls help prevent contamination of the hood system. Certifications: The PTFE coated, fine particle, contaminate free optical bleach meets Chromatec optical standards.
