It is an adjustable stock that uses a roll pin to prevent adjustment after installing for certain state compliances.

This is an adjustable stock when shipped but once you insert the roll pin it is no longer an adjustable Stock. The item DOES NOT come with an adjustable spring so it is not functional without the roll pin inserted.
