Excellent concept, materials, construction, and versatility. However, the ShapeShift holster for Springfield Armory's Hellcat OSP will not accommodate all optics.
Unlike most holsters that have a cutout (or cutaway) where an optic would be, the ShapeShift holster includes a protective hood for the optic. Great in concept, but the protective hood is shaped for optics with a round profile on top and did not accommodate my Hellcat with a Holosun 507K X2, which has a square profile. This would probably also be a problem for the Holosun 407K, EPS Carry, and Trijicon RMR, which are among the most popular pistol optics.
Additionally, I bought it directly from Alien Gear and they would not cover the cost of shipping it back even though this was a 'failed to fit' issue and not an 'I-changed-my-mind' issue. Anyway, beware... hopefully if you buy from Optics Planet, they'll cover the shipping on returns if it doesn't fit.
