great value

I own Leica, Nikon, Kahles, Swarovski, and Zeiss products. This unit is comparable to high end optics with great compact character. Perfect for wilderness travel, hunting, or emergency kit. Like the easy grip and simplicity. Water proof is nice for weather/water travel.

Mr. Gunner

I was looking for a small monocular to use at an indoor range. This item filled all the needs. They claim long eye relief and it does have some but not enough for me. I have to take my glasses off to view target. Other than that it is a good buy and good optics.

Nice compact monocular

by Legacy Reviewer, from CA, United States Written on March 28, 2014
I am pleasantly surprised with this monocular. It is well built, performs well in low light situations, images rendered sharp with fairly accurate true to life colors.

If I had one small nit it would be that turning the eye cup in or out turns the focusing ring as well. Perhaps with time the eyecup adjustment will loosen thus preventing the movement of the focusing ring.

I would highly recommend this monocular. You get a solid performer for the money.
Pros: Light weight, sharp image, decent low light performance
Cons: Lacks objective lens cover

Alpen 120

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on April 17, 2010
Great monocular, very light weight and easy to carry. I think I would have liked one with a little more range but it would have probably been more difficult to keep focused. Overall, great for the price.
Pros: Light weigth, compact, easy on the eye
Cons: not as powerful as I would have liked

Excellent Product

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 6, 2010
I think this monocular is a great product for the money spent. It is lightweight, easy to grip, and is esy to focus, even one handed. The case for it is not as 'respectable' as one would hope for, and it does not keep out small dirt particles (I take it kayaking and to the beach). Overall, I am very happy with this monocular.
Pros: great price, great magnification
Cons: case
