Turning Budget Lights Cool
Bought this so I could adapt my Streamlight HL-X to a Surefire tailcap since EVERYTHING on the market regarding light switches is for the expensive stuff. Works perfect and have no complaints. It does add on about an inch of extra length overall to the light setup but that's the compromise for going "cost effective". Also comes with extra o-rings for when the installed ones start to weather so you already have replacements ready.
Simple and Effective
It's very simple and it does it's job. It's pretty much just the two sets of threads with a free floating transfer bar for the current, so there's very little that can go wrong with it. The only issue with it (which is unavoidable) is that it makes the overall light assembly about an inch and a half longer.
I wouldn't recommend that someone buy a streamlight with intention of putting this on there. A light that doesn't require an adapter would be shorter and simpler. But if you already have a streamlight and need to run it with a different tailcap, it will do the job.

Makes you streamlight better
I bought a streamlight because I didn't want to spend $300 on a surefire. The streamlight comes with a really crappy pressure switch that you have to ziptie to your handguard. I went ahead and bought a unity tactical pressure switch but needed an adapter for a surefire tailcap to plug the unity into. This adapter filled that void and made my streamlight tons better!
