Nice optics, subpar focuser
Very nice price and quality triplet ED optics. I was hoping to use for wide field/ rich field astrophotography, but I can't recommend this scope for anything but visual due to a subpar 1.25" focuser. There is no field flattener available for a 1.25" focuser, so there's no way to correct for field curvature. That is, unless one would replace the focuser.
To attach a finder, one will need to purchase a 70mm ring like I did (or use another method).
To mount it to an German Equatorial mount, I purchased a cg5 compatible rail. The scope is mounted using one 1/4 20 thread screw. This is barely adequate but it works. So, the spotting scope style foot is not what one would want for astronomy.

Good value
A Christmas present to myself ;a small but high quality scope at an affordable price.Saw no false color,that is those annoying purple outlines you often see in cheaper scopes when zooming in on distant objects just aren't there in this scope.
Very clear and sharp views of daytime wildlife and nighttime Moon and stars.
Would have given 5 stars but zoom eyepiece is too stiff and not index marked,and scope can't use those really wide view 2" eyepieces.Would have been nice to have small tripod included as with most spotting scopes.
