The shape is much better than the pad on the STR or CTR stock. If your looking for recoil reduction, I suggest you chose another product. This has very little improvement for that.
Seems to be of good quality material and molding. I worked very well for reinstalling my barrel after changing the front handrail. I didn't use the tube alignment part because my new barrel nut didn't need to be aligned to a hole. It is definitely worth having in you AR toolbox.
