Cheap but a butt pad would be nice

This works well, its cheap so everything is plastic aside from the tube which is a short AR style buffer tube. You need to stake the castle nut as it will back off. The grip is hard plastic so its not the most comfortable but again, its cheap. Buck/target loads are fine, but shooting slugs from this thing left my shoulder nice and purple so id recommend a pad. Other than that its not half bad, especially for the price.

First, yes this fits the Maverick 88. Secondly, its a tad on the heavy side compared to higher end offerings but this works quite well. I threw on some old magpul flip sights and it works great. Its does have two side rails up front for lights etc, the barrel clamp is stout as well. Theres plenty of room on the stock handguard, cant say if it clears the magpul one.
