This Federal .45 ACP 230 gr. FMJ-RN is basic practice ammunition and it excels in that use. It is relatively clean burning and reasonably accurate. This is great for general range and training use. It is the basic load that the M1911 is designed for. If you just purchased a 1911, this is the perfect load to check function. If your 1911 will not reliably digest this ammo, regardless of make, model, barrel length, etc., you have a problem with the weapon.
