Holosun Compact Laser Sight - Impressed - Well Built
I was slightly skeptical about purchasing this sight but upon receiving it today, I am very pleased and feel I made a good purchase. I was looking for a quality laser but did not want to spend $800 - 1200 but felt the sub $100 lasers would not meet my expectations. I was not looking for an IR + ligh...

laser wouldnt adjust
I got a laser and couldn’t get it to adjust and contacted customer support and couldn’t get any help from them. I was really looking forward to using my laser but tried sighting it in and tried to adjust it and wouldn’t do a thing. I emailed customer support and they said it would be over a month be...

Green model is Great for night use
The LS117green is visible from my house to the apartments over 300yards out at night. Anything 100yards and in at night is easy to see the laser and it is bright at night. However, it is useless in daytime lighting. It is visible with my Streamlight HL-X 1000 at night and indoors. For the price it does exactly what it is designed to do. It’s a nighttime/low lighting laser.
Pros:
- Great for home defense
- great for night dust & dawn
- Great for indoor range.
Cons:
- bad in daylight lighting
Best Used for:
- low / no light use
- in combination with a flashlight in the dark

Amazingly good sight with QD for a couple hundred bucks? Yes!
Mounted at 3:00 position, so be aware of windage and elevation adjustments. Zeroed in minutes and held zero after two hundred rounds. Great. I believe the LS Series is being replaced by the LE Series for a hundred bucks or so more. The LE is claiming that the titanium housing is the cat's meow. Maybe, but I'm a civilian that doubts I'll need to go past 2, 3, 4, or 5 more rounds to secure my home and whatever's around me, so the aluminum bodied LS, for a couple hundred bucks has me more than completely satisfied. Momentary switch (they call it a pressure switch) is flawless. If this is still available, and not being replaced with the LE Series, I will buy six more, just to have around. It's that good. The QD part is worth more than that to me. It's a max green laser, it holds zero, it's easy to set up, it holds zero, it's a great price, it holds zero, and you cannot beat the price for an amazingly quality product. Did I mention that it hold zero?

Highly Visible
Easily attaches to the Picatinny rail. Everything else is very simple to set up, even if it's your first laser sight as it was for me. Go ahead and get you one you will not be disappointed!

PERFECT Green Laser in all aspects
I got a really great deal on this and was leery about its quality and ability to hold zero. I shouldn't have been leery - this thing is incredible. I've seen some people complain about it only having a momentary switch, but I have no need to be constantly "advertising" with it in normally closed, switched position. It's also better to have muscle memory in using momentary "on" under all circumstances. While I've never used a military-issue laser, I can probably say that this thing is as good as anything out there for what's needed for civilian use. Could not give a higher recommendation.
The only minor drawback is the extra length of cable for the switch. Easily remedied with "Guardtier" wire management system though. Not enough to downgrade this by even a fraction of a star - this laser is that good......

green light
Purchased, delivered, mounted and straight to local range. Sighted in and ran about 60 rounds. It's great, now I'm going to have to purchase a couple more, which won't be too hard, as the price is pretty good.
Pros:
- bright and compact
Cons:
- non yet

- CQB and Medium Range

The Holosun LS-117R is very good.
I had just found out how to make this Holosun LS-117R work on my Ar-15 Bushmaster Rifle with the fixed Iron Sight on the upper rail, and it also has an upgraded Quad rail on the Rifle as well. Well I took a look at the Holosun LS-117R and under the Picatinny mount there are four tiny screws that I had removed from the bottom. Then I had took two of those screws and moved them over to the right side of the LS-117 R as well as moved the Laser Beam on over to the Right side as well and then just used those two screws only. I had put the other two screws back in the box that the LS-117 R came in. Then I had tightened up the two screws with the Tool that comes with the LS-117R that comes in the Box. After that I had put the Laser Beam on and then I had tested everything out and it had worked. I had adjusted everything up with my TA-51 Trijicon Acog Scope exactly on the Red Chevron and it works just fine.

Works as intended
I haven’t ran into any problems with this device and it’s a very good device to have if your on a budget and need a affordable but reliable ir laser, Holosun is the best choice. The lever switch is a bit hard to turn so just that but the pressure switch works great and easy to press. You can either have it one always on or momentary remote.
Pros:
- Lightweight & affordable
