I was surprised to see the 9mm 50 grain Civil Defense round do as well as it did. The penetration of the small “core” was 13 to 14 inches while the actual wound cavity was rather large at 3 to 6 inches deep. The Civil Defense, and it’s lighter cousin, the Ultra-light, are now replacing my EDC Federal 124 HST.
