Mako 5x Magnifier
Very please with the magnifier itself. Only complaint is that it did not come with the twist off quick disconnect ring as advertised. Also the ring that was packaged with the magnifier was a 1" ring instead of 30mm so I couldn't even use magnifier the first weekend I had it. Not super upset because I planned to get a flip to side mount anyway, it just sped that process up a bit :) When used with a standard height Primary Arms flip to side mount it lines up perfectly with the reticle on an EOTech EXPS-2. Mako Group Fab Defense 5 Power Red Dot Magnifier
Great value for the buck. Have put over 300 rounds through my AR - 15 and not one problem. Magnifier provided excellent vision through my EOTech. Was not pleased with the mount. It was cheesy at best, but it did it job holding the scope onto my rifle. Had to keep tightening it every few rounds or it would have fell off. I have already upgraded the mount and now have a very useful magnifier.

Worked good!
Nice clear sight picture, worked great at night and low light conditions. Not quite sure if it was a true 5X power,only seemed to be 3X power to me.For the cost, you can't beat it.

Mako 5X Magnifier
The Mako 5x magnifier was mounted on a POF-USA P308 and functions well. It came with a mount that probably was robust enough for tactical use but I purchased a Burris heavy duty mount. The 5X magnification is good for 50+ yard shooting and gives better detail than a 3x version. The eye relief is tricky at first but mounting the scop to the rear of the rail helps. It is compatible with my EOTech 552 and doesn't distort the laser reticle. The .308 recoils more than a 5.56 NATO or .223 round but the scope and Burris mount are holding up very well after more than 500 rounds. The scope has a diopter focusing ring on the rear. Recommended.
