Otis Star Chamber Cleaning Tool
Just what the AR doctor ordered. Cant beat how fast it arrived. Bought extra cleaning pads as well. The tool does exactly as claimed. Everything was in stock. Good prices. OpticsPlanet has always been positive transactions for me.

Wanted it to Work Well
I really wanted this tool to work well to clean out the star chamber of my AR 15. It didn't. The tool extends but would collapse during use. The patches were minimally effective in cleaning. I can do a better job with Q-tips. Very disappointed. Poorly developed and made.

I haven't used the star pads it came with yet. I've been attaching bore tech reciever wiper set with the cheap patches and bore tech c4 cleaning liquid, bore tech chamber brushes, and chamber mop. It really only takes a few minutes to make that area of the barrel brand new depending on how long you let the solution sit.

Clever for the sake of clever... but this product is useless.
This product makes ZERO sense, except to separate AR users from their money, which is more than a cottage industry at this point. A "steel scraper" is not something you want to insert into the barrel extension... but don't worry if you already have because it doesn't fit snug enough to do anything. The soft pads are an interesting concept, but they just spin on the axis of the part that attaches it to the rod, so there's no resistance and no effect. A pack of replacement pads are priced similar to a box of 5.56 ammo. I use the handle to attach a dedicated chamber brush so I don't have to swap out attachments with my bore rod, other than that, this is just another 'miracle' gimmick that doesn't hold a candle to cotton swabs and a chamber mop.

Great took
Great tool for a hard to reach place to clean . All my AR’s will be better off from now on . Thank you Otis for a great product. I will highly recommend this product to anyone . No other in the market

Otis Chamber Tool
I purchased this item based on the good experience I have had with other products by this company. This tool really doesn't do more than a patch on the end of a chamber brush. I tried it out on my well maintained AR and could not tell any additional cleaning advantage over the patch method described.

Star Chamber Cleaning Tool
This tool works very well. The scrapper gets rid of carbon build up while the soft pad with a cleaning solution eliminates any residue. I recommend buying an additional package of pads. I used one for 3 cleanings. I like it.

Good tool for the job
Another good product from Otis. Makes hard to clean AR star chamber easy. Scrape loose the junk then switch to the felt pads to remove the loose debris. So far it's the best tool I have found for this application.

Not perfect, but good
