Excellent Porro binocs for money
After doing a lot of research into how to best replace my previous (finally broken) economical binoculars, I became convinced that reverse Porro prism design offers the greatest advantages for the money. The Vortex Vanquish 8x26 Porro prism binoculars were recommended at birdwatching.com and so I to...

Not up to the vortex name
I guess I know now to stay away from their bottom end binoculars. I've owned many compacts and these are nothing to write home about. Very difficult to see through and the eye cups only have one position so I have to shove my eye into them to see anything. Smallish sweetspot. Not very bright, hard...

compact and clear
These binoculars are compact and light enough to take anywhere. The glass is bright and clear.

The only Vortex product I've tried and cant recommend.
I bought these as an upgrade to my back up binos, currently a $25 pair of IBC reverse porro prisms I bought because I needed them fast, as my old main pair died and my order of Optimod Vortex Diamondback HD's is not expected to ship for 5 months. They do slightly better with stray light then the Amazon pair, have the Vortex warranty and include a case. Other than that they are worse in everyway. The low light performance, neck strap, FOV, feel of the focus wheel, Depth of View, lens covers and clarity are all better on the IBC's. Four differant people tried these and preferred the IBC. We also compared these to a older pair of Vanquish a friend had to make sure sure it wasn't a bad pair. They are also the only Vortex product I've bought that didn't come with a cleaning cloth.
So I thought I'd give them to the kid as an upgrade to his Vortex Bantom HD youth pair. Wrong again. The Bantoms are better then the Vanquish and the IBC. The only things better on the Vanquish is case material, close focus and they aren't as picky about eye placement. Compared these with 2 adult's. The bantoms also come with a cleaning cloth, have full lens covers compared to just uppers and they are nicer covers. The case is a nicer design but appears to be a lesser material with less padding.
So here I sit, typing this, 45 years old looking at my brand new youth bino's, packing up the Vanquish to return.
Bottom line. If you want to stick with Vortex the only reasons I can see to get a pair of Vanqu...

Great compact binocular
I bought this binocular to keep in my car. It is remarkable in it's clarity and brightness. I have been using it for a couple of weeks and I am impressed. I have become a fan of Vortex products. I had occasion to use the Vortex warranty for an old binocular and I was more than happy with their service. I recommend this binocular and Vortex in general.

Great binoculars for the money
These are a great compact binocular for the price point. The eye relief isn't the best but not bad. They come in a nice carrying case. The price with free shipping make these a bargain. I would differently buy again.

Very nice set of compact binos
I bought these to replace a compact set of Bushnell binos. I use the compact binos during spring gobbler season as carrying around the larger binos in my vest gets heavy and takes up extra space. These Vortex Vanquish compact binos were the perfect replacement and even better quality and clarity than the lil Bushnell's. The Vortex warranty is a major plus in my opinion. You will not be disappointed in these, and at the price here on OP...it's a no brainer!

Great Optics
I was looking for a great pair of compact binoculars that wouldn't break the bank, and I found them in the Vortex Vanquish 8x26! I don't think that I could have done any better. Great optics, great warranty, great price! They feel good in the hand, too!

8x32 Vorex Vanquish
I had these for quite a while now. At first I did not like the tiny eyecups. They are literally no bigger than soda caps. BUT DAMNNNN, for their size the optics are fantastic. I have hunted around and tried different brands and models to replace them. I've tried a lot of inexpensive 8x32 roof prisms in this price range and the Vanquish optics continue to blow them all away. They are super light weight and well armored. They fit about anywhere. I keep thinking of them as toys. I left them in my truck forever, hot days, cold nights. And yet they remain perfect, still with better clarity and definition then any other compact pair in this price range. If you need a compact pair for the glove box, or got a kid starting out, I say get these. They are absolutely hard to beat.

clear view
Always purchased cheap binoculars they would not last a deer season. After doing lots of research and reading reviews between Leopold and Vortex made my choice for the Vortex and made the right choice. compact, lightweight, very clear, well built, works great with glasses, can't beat the warranty

Great Compacts
I wanted to purchase a decent budget pair for hunting that I could hike around all day with.I looked at these and the Vortex Crossfire 8X32 crossfires. I thought that having the larger objectives lenses would allow me to see better in morning and evening light. I emailed the company and they strongly recommended the Vanquish saying that the optics where far better for Vanquish. I was able to use both side by side and found the vanquish to have quite superior optics. They seem to gather more light and give far better images then the crossfires. Yes, the small eyepieces are not as comfortable to use as the crossfires but the optics are noticeably better. Now, if I did the type of hunting where I was glassing the mountain all day, I would use something else. But, for what these are, which is a 'budget' pair of compacts these are great. The warranty is the best in the business, I spoke with a Vortex rep and they assured me that as long as I did not lose these, they would repair or replace them no matter what. That in itself is worth a lot since I tend to be really hard on gear. Not to mention that for the price they have pretty darn good optics.
Pros: price, warranty, weight, optics
Cons: small eyepieces
