I own various pre-sized chamber vacuum bags but occasionally I need a bag with an extended length for vacuuming large oversized items. Large items that expand the sides of the vacuum bag sometimes make it difficult to lay the bag opening flat on the seal bar for sealing. My VacMaster recommends a maximum size bag, not to exceed 10" x 13". The key word here is "recommends". I sometimes require a longer bag that allows me more head space at the open end of the bag. The extra bag length allows me to lay the bag flat and seal the bag properly. I've found that by going a few inches longer in bag length allows me to more easily seal an otherwise difficult bag. Plus bags on a roll are a good backup. When short on pre-sized bags they can be customized. Bags on a roll are my insurance backup as they are excellent for the oversized item, good backup when in short supply of bags on hand and for making a bag a size you may want but don't have in stock.
