The KDG HK 556 m-lok rail is a direct mount rail system replacing the factory HK 556 rail systems. The rail offers a more ergonomic m-lok rail system that is also lighter, and longer than HKs standard rail. The profile of the KDG rail allows for maximum ergonomics for the operator.

M-lok attachment slots not only offer improved modularity, but added weight savings over Picatinny. The KDG HK 556 rail comes in two lengths, 10 and 14. It features a continuous monolithic picatinny rail at the 12 oclock position, and m-lok mounting slots at the 3, 6 and 9 oclock positions. The system also uniquely offers a forward mounting slot at each of the 2, 4, 8, and 10 oclock positions for offset accessories like lights and lasers. The HK 556 MLOK also offers two quick-detach sling negative space sling attachment points on either side of rear of the rail system at the 2 and 10 oclock positions for use with modern two point adjustable shooting slings.

The system attaches with a single headed slotted bolt allowing the rail to be removed in less than a minute allowing zeroed accessories to remain attached. On reinstallation of the system, the accessories do not require re-zero to point of impact as it due to its ridged X, Y, Z and anti-rotation features.

The system is optimized for all standard m-lok mounted accessories, or could be used in combination with the KDG Kinect toolless quick attach/detach accessory mounts.

The KDG HK 556 m-lok rail is compatible with all HK 556 variants to include: 416, MR556, & M27.
