It would be best to go up in height from your current setup if you find it to low. We measure from the top of the rail to the center of the optic. For instance, our mediums are 1".

I Have typically used Seekins but I found these for $40 less so gave them a go. Similar design and style and MDT makes quality stuff. For 34 mm rings I Would buy again and save the $40 so I would recommend.
