The Redox Solution L4643 is specially formulated for redox measurements in skin blood or tissue culture media. In solution, it allows for the rapid determination of total ions (red cell ions) and soluble calcium and magnesium ions (silver cells). The color change from blue to light pink is proportional to the total dissolved calcium and magnesium ions in solution. Color changes from light pink to deep pink are proportional to the total calcium and magnesium ions in the reaction mix. Color changes from light pink to light pink due to the strong reducing power of the reduced carbon and thiosemicarbazones (tannis) in the Redox Solution.
