Not an accurate description. I have an M&P10 and there are 2 tabs on the end of the hand guard that don't line up with anything and create a gap between the hand guard and the receiver. I assume they lock In on other models to prevent the hand guard ...

The Samson LR308 DPMS Evolution Keymod Handguard is an excellent way to make sure you have a stable platform from which to mount your favorite optics and accessories onto your DPMS LR-308 rifle. These AR Handguards & Forends designed by Samson eliminate the need for bulky bushings during installation, making this a simple and affordable upgrade. This Samson DPMS Evolution Keymod Free-Float Handguard features a 6061-T6 aluminum build with MIL-A-8625 Type III class 2 anodizing for superior corrosion resistance, and it is machined with a continuous top Picatinny rail that easily fits onto DPMS LR308 upper receivers. The gas piston ports are relieved throughout, making this a great option for most dual gas piston systems. Add this Samson DPMS Evolution Series Free-Float Handguard to your gun build for a lightweight, sturdy firearm that performs well in a variety of scenarios.
