If you're looking to take your hunting season to a new level this year, both figuratively and literally, it's time to purchase a box blind. Also known as a tower blind, these structures combine the best aspects of tree stands and ground blinds. This is because it conceals you like a traditional hunting blind, while also putting you above the deer, coyotes, or other animals you are hunting, keeping you out of their direct sight. Plus, box blinds are often spacious inside, so you can set up small chairs and other accessories to make the hunt more enjoyable. Here are answers to common questions about box blinds and tower blinds to help you pick the one that suits your needs.
Unlike ground blinds, it takes a lot more effort to raise a box blind or tower blind. There are a few ways to do it. One way involves attaching ratchet straps to the blind while it is laying on its side and then using a tractor or excavator to lift it up. If you don't have the machinery, then you will need a winch. Use thick cable to connect the box blind to the winch in at least two spots on the corners. Then, you can use the winch to pull the box blind up from its side to the correct position. However, if you are planning to have the blind high up in the air, this may not work, as it takes much more effort the higher the blind is.
Don't wait around to get your box blind, as getting it setup and ready for the season takes some time! We have several tower blinds available from top brands, including Muddy, Rivers Edge Treestands, and Landmark Permanent Blinds.
