Product Info for Diamondhead VRS X-556 Free Floating Keymod 8 inch Handguard

Diamondheads VRS KeyMod Free Floating Handguards for 5.56 offer an uninterrupted rail extension and handguard in perfect alignment with the host weapons flat top receiver. The VRS handguard replaces the factory delta ring and utilizes a proprietary Diamondhead barrel nut. The VRS X Free Floating Handguard Systems provide excellent flexibility of use when adding KeyMod configured accessories. Designed to give a factory installed appearance to the rifle. Proprietary replacement barrel nut included that allows for easy installation and elimination of barrel nut timing issues. Mounts on barrels with low profile gas block, or can replace the fixed front sight with a low profile gas block. Sturdy, lightweight free float design. Improves accuracy and provides exceptional airflow to keep barrel cooler. Comfortable round shape. Flush mounted top rail for a monolithic appearance. Uninterrupted top mounting surface for optics or other accessories. Lightning fast configuration changes. Improves comfort and ease of shooting while allowing for unlimited personal modification with rail accessories. Customize for specific applications. Add KeyMod rails as additional accessories are needed. Proprietary clamping system for rigid, secure attachment. Mil. Spec. Type III anodized 6061 aluminum construction. Mil. Std. 1913 Picatinny rail dimensions. NOTE: VRS X-KeyMod-556 installation requires removal of the delta ring and factory barrel nut and replacement. of the front sight with a low profile gas block.image
