The Holsters for Heroes program provides patriotic Americans a way to actively and effectively support individual members of the armed forces deploying to the Middle East.

Many service members strongly prefer a quality leather shoulder system to the synthetic flap holsters issued by the military. We at Galco, along with some of Galco loyal customers, have taken note of the high demand for Galco shoulder holster systems among the courageous American military personnel who are fighting the ongoing War on Terrorism. Galco elected to help support these fine men and women by instituting the Holsters for Heroes program.

In order to best assist Galco nations military personnel, Galco offers two-for-one pricing on every Holsters for Heroes donation. Galco sends these holsters to Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs), who distribute them to members of the armed services deploying to the Middle East. Galco, along with Galco contacts in the military and in the VSOs, make every effort to ensure that donations go to those enlisted service members who most need and deserve a high quality holster to carry in the course of their deployment. Donors may remain anonymous by choosing the appropriate donation method, but otherwise Galco will provide the holster recipient with the name and mail/email address of the donor.

Galcos very popular VHS holster system is used for every Holsters for Heroes donation. We combined features from Galco Miami Classic Holster with a traditional vertical shoulder holster into a system thats perfect for 21st century. The VHS has been field tested over military BDUs with great success, and has quickly become a favorite among military personnel deploying to the Middle East.

A key component of this patented shoulder system is its spider harness. All four points of the spider harness can pivot independently and are connected by Galco unique clover shaped Flexalon swivel back plate, which is a Galco trademark. This, along with Galco patented swivel connectors, results in a perfect fit and lasting comfort for all sizes and shapes in all types of military uniforms. This system is constructed of premium saddle leather and includes holster, harness and ammo carrier. The VHS was designed to function without a holster side tie down and will not accommodate one.
