Remove ice from cylinders, tubes, and gradient makers prior to spinning. Ice forms on the surface of the water, making it an ideal precipitation collector. The addition of ice, which usually forms on the surface of the water, slows down the ice formation, making it more difficult to purify water. However, it may also lead to premature ice formation on the surface of the water, possibly preventing the rapid freezing that characterizes ice. This Insert, together with the Cold trap, can then be used for thawing frozen samples. Place ice on the glass insert and place the sample collection tube with the syringe in the water bath. Then add the sample and put the lid on. The syringe handle can then be removed. Place the lid on the water bath with the glass insert slid in from the outside. One insert is required per set.
