The Lee .500in Round Ball Mould is made of rust-resistant aluminum that is also much lighter in weight making it easier to carry to and from the casting bench. This high-quality mold includes special features like self-centering ball guides for perfectly round and polished round ball cavities, polished runner ways, and handles with grips or a cloth lanyard. For security, handles with integral knurling also come as standard. The cavities in the Lee .500in Round Ball Mould have been drilled so that no runner plugs can be placed within the cavity. An extra-wide runner bar has also been added to help prevent run-away bullets. Whether a .500in double cavity bullet or a .500in single cavity bullet, this round ball double cavity mold provides the reloader with a stable and reliable casting tool. The cavities are made of ductile iron, which have been CNC-machined to reduce fatigue during long casting sessions. Also, the .500in double cavity mold has shaft bushings in the head, neck and cavity halves to help ensure easy removal. Half the length of the sprue platen supports the ball, shaft, and handles for the easiest and most precise sprue area sanding.
