They fire just like a caliper, but instead of the tip sliding off as the release is fired, the release is picked up like a football and shoots just like a tape release. Simply put, the Magnetiks family of releases are extremely difficult to accidentally release with any other release, let alone a silent release. That's why they took the long trip across the globe to find all the technology that No Limit uses in their releases including harmonics, magnetos, elastomerics, and serrations. It also employs a patented, helical "v" grip for easy activation. The o-ring and internal spring create a tight loop which provides even more stability at longer distances. Pulling the trigger will cause the release to self-right. Setting the trigger location is critical with releases like this. The longer the o-ring, the more stable the release will be. The harder the o-ring is, the more stable the activation will be. Half-moon staging provides even greater stability in holding the release half-moon staging positions. The more you let them set the tension, the more stable the release will be.
