What is the difference between the Stanag 4694 and the m4 quadrail

The STANAG 4694 standards are a bit more strict that normal Picatinny standards, meaning the accessory slots and spacing might be just a touch more precise. The STANAG version meets NATO requirements and is therefore approved for use by NATO forces, while the normal M4 version may not be.

Will this work as well with a Colt AR as it does with the Ruger. I'm new to the game and just purchased the Colt.

Yes, this should fit on a Colt with a drop-in handguard, handguard end cap, and carbine length gas system.
