Can I not take the followers out of my 45 gap mags and put them in 40 mags?

The conversion kit is designed for use with Glock 22 magazines.

Does this kit work with Glock 38? If not do you have a kit for the 38 that does conversion. Thanks

Unfortunately that will not work. Until the introduction of the newer Gen 5 models, full size Glock barrels would not work in compact Glock frames due to some small differences. Glock has not introduced Gen 5 versions of their .45 GAP pistols yet. ATI does not make a version of this barrel for the Glock 38 at this time.

does magazine follower allow use of .45 GAP magazine to now hold .40 ammunition? Isn't .45 GAP a larger casing and "lips" at top of magazine will not

No, the follower in the conversion kit is meant to be swapped with the follower in a .40 S&W magazine (Glock 22 magazine).

With the .45 GAP follower in the G22 magazine, the slide will lock back as normal (on empty magazine).
