I am handy caped will this work in a ground blind for a crossbow? Can this be mounted to a chair?

This cannot be mounted to a chair, but you could mount it to a floor or baseplate of some sort to anchor it. That would allow you to use it in a ground blind for your Crossbow. Since the upper is interchangeable with the tripod can you purchase just the anchor system? I already own the tripod.

Will the treepod disconnect and mouth to the tripod for ground hunting or do you have to purchase both? In other words is the rest interchangeable?

You can disconnect the upper part from the mount to move it to the tripod.
