The Foretrex 701 uses GPS/GLONASS/Galileo to track your GPS location. Garmin GPS receivers are typically accurate to within 10 meters. With the addition of tracking GLONASS and Galileo satellites, you could be tracking up to 20 satellites that should hone the accuracy down as close as 1-3 meters.
