This comes with both a low and a high mount, it is also compatible with all Aimpoint Micro (T1/T2) mounts.

Does this sight use solar assist? I don't see the solar panel...

No. Holosun models with solar assist will have the solar panel on top that you mentioned. This has motion activation. However, having the buttons on top of the optic is kind of nice for ambi operation.
