If you mean Tripple 7 powder and you use ffG the answer is yes. And NO you do not need a patch. Remember a conicle bullet is meant for a fast twist barrel. A 1 in 48 twist barrel will shoot these but may not be as accurate as desired. 1 in 48 twist is what manufacturers use so their rifle will shoot conicles as well as roundballs. A 1 in 66 twist is the desired roundball/patch twist. hope this helps!
