No, this is for the .380 ACP only and will not work with the .22 LR.

Does the slide hold back after the last round in the plus one?

I don’t have this +1, I have the Ruger-made one. But since this goes on the bottom of the mag and the slide is held open by the top of the mag... well, draw your own conclusion.
