which is best: Fiber optic illumination or the LED?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on January 04, 2022

It comes down to preference. The LED uses a battery that must be replaced every so often. The LED model will also allow for adjustable brightness and the ability to have an illuminated reticle in low light conditions. The Led model can also be paired with a night vision device. The Fiber Optic model collects light in order to illuminate the reticle and does not require a battery. However, since it relies solely on the fiber optic, a lack of light means it cannot illuminate the reticle.

Would this work on a 6.5 grendel?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on January 04, 2022

Yes. The Trijicon ACOG TA01/02/31 4x32mm Riflescope will work on a rifle chambered in 6.5 Grendel. However, the optic is designed to be used with the AR platform. Keep in mind the reticle options for the ACOG have also been designed for primarily .223/5.56x45, and 300 Blackout.
