On the one I have the illumination is not daylight visible, only illuminates the reticle enough for night and NV use. There is no center red dot as with some other similar scopes.

UPDATE: as per conversation with Optics Planet Tech Reps, the main body of the optic is at least 2" wide and with the turrets sticking out its less than 3" wide which is acceptable.....

UPDATE: As per conversation with Optics Planet Tech Reps verified that the sight attachments, bolts, clamps, etc are all metal, being aluminum, which again is acceptable and better than being made of polymer.....

No, this only has 2.75" of eye relief, it will not work as a scout scope.
