Finger Releases
There are many types of finger releases. Some are handheld, and others will wrap around your wrist for support. Finger releases most closely resemble pulling the trigger on a handgun, shotgun, rifle, or crossbow. An archer must pull a trigger release with the index finger. Having used a finger release trigger for years, I can tell you from experience there is a significant drawback to this type of release. When wearing gloves, it is possible to release the trigger accidentally and thereby miss the shot. Though it has only happened to me on two occasions, there is a possibility.
