The pictures on the Optics Planet website indicated the rear sight had white inserts. Unfortunately, that was not what I received. After looking at the Ameriglo website I realized that they had a picture of the GL-229 and the part number for the GL-229-PRO. I should not need to look at the manufacturers website to determine the model being ordered.
It's a good sight. It's just not what I wanted nor, what I thought I was ordering.

- no modifications required for install
Cons:
- Difficult to discern front sight from rear in dim light
- No white inserts on rear sight
Best Used for:
- total darkness
- bright areas
