Scope mount is ‘just ok’ - ATN Quick Detach Scope Mount

This scope mount is not where it needs to be. It is cheaply constructed, though cheaply priced, and is inconsistent as a quick detach mount. There are two principal problems – the first is the diameter and length of the screws and the frame to which the scope attaches; adequate but just barely enough for semi-automatic use. The bigger problem is the QD levers do not lock, and can easily become detensioned during firing, resulting in scope mount wobble, and of course that results in inaccuracy. There are better mounts for the ATN X-Sight scope out there, and on this site, but I will refrain from promoting a competitor’s product – though I did end up buying the competitor’s product to replace this one.
