Some things I’ve learned about my ATN Thor 4 2-8X… first, I made a mistake by choosing to mount it on my AR – 15 which happens to be an M4 style. Could not get a satisfactory clear image through the scope, and ultimately concluded it was the elevated front site that was causing the problem. So I will be mounting it on a more conventional rifle
Second, in retrospect I somewhat wish I had gone with one or two levels higher to get greater image clarity out to 150 yards or so. Pretty good for the money, but maybe I will want to upgrade at some point in the future.
But the most important point I want to make is the excellent support you will get from ATN. How many companies can you contact on a Saturday morning and have a really helpful CSR solve your problem? I want to give a big holler out to Pablo Hernandez who is the latest individual there that I talked to. He was so patient. So helpful. The features and capability of that scope can be overwhelming to a novice or someone like me who is only a sometimes shooter. Pablo initially kept things simple and understandable and walked me through steps until I had my problem solved. But I am sure he could’ve gone as far out into the weeds as I wanted. He is really an asset to his employer.
So if you buy one of their products and have some questions or issues, I think you’ll be very pleased with how dedicated they are to your satisfaction. That’s a lot to be said nowadays where the customer service after the sale is in so many cases...

I recently received my ATN Thor 384 2-8x. It was well-made and extremely easy to use. I have the ABL laser range finder as well and I'll tell you that I found the combination of the Thor and the ABL to be too heavy for me. I don't shoot more than 100 yards and I'm usually shooting at 50 yards. I have several Day/Night vision scopes and I believe they are better suited for the type of shooting I do but I am going to get one of those thermals that connect to your phone for use as a detection tool.
I found the 384 resolution to be marginally acceptable at up to 100 yards. Pricing aside, I would've or should have gone for the 640 resolution. But as I said, thermals are not well suited for the type of shooting I do, although as I mentioned, I'll get one of those gizmos to connect to my cell phone for detection.
I bought mine directly from ATN and I'm able to return it for a full refund.
ATN has excellent sales support via direct line and it's in Florida so no time zone delays and no English language problems. Alex C. Assisted me and he was very accessible and handled the order very efficiently.
Before buying a thermal scope carefully think out if a thermal scope suits the kind of shooting you do.
I should add that my scope that I received from ATN was "refurbished" but in every way was like new even with the current firmware on it.
Pros:
- long battery life
- reliable
- East to use
- Good "starter" scope
- US Based support and sales
Best Used for:
- Detection of potential targets

I got the scope and it worked great for a while, then it started freezing up and not holding a zero. I contacted ATN and Rod Gerard did a great job helping me ship it back for repairs. He got a reapir receipt and shipping label ready for me quickly and I got it sent off right away. His service was very good. Hopefully they can fix the problems.

I own a ATN LT 160 for 3 years , thankfully no problems, upgraded to Thor 4 2-8x , (great price, great features, ) but my unit had ghosting and shadows in the display, I returned it and wanted to upgrade , a extra $500 when it reached 700 I cancelled that idea. My next unit great display but the SD card was all full tight , read a bunch of reviews and pushed it in, well it was never coming out, and it looked like the factory had problems with that slot and shipped it anyway, I decided I didn’t want a 2k headache, I already invested way to much time so it’s on its way back, I purchased a AGM monocular and the mount was loose AGM shipped me a exchange and RMA much faster service, I’m sure they would swap this but undecided, November is almost here, LOL

This scope is great to look through but if you want to kill something you can forget it. I sighted it in to 1” group at 100 yards , a week later took a shot at a coyote and missed a 60 yard shot. Checked zero and was off a foot right and 2” low . Sighted in again missed again a couple weeks later. Sighted a third time and shot it for several days in a row then after a few days it was off again. This time 14” high and a foot right. I have checked x and y values and gun position and it stays consistent. Mounts are tight and ring screws tight and have lock tight blue. I do not recommend this product. Ive had a few thermals over the years

I'm on my 6th scope in 3 seasons. Our season only runs 3 month. So I'm not using it year round. They either don't work out of the box, or they break down in the field. Customer service use to be awesome and hook you up and get you back out there asap. But now it takes months to get your scope processed and fixed. Go with a better company

For the money you pay for these scopes they are ok. Decent picture at a budget price. Make sure you register yours scope though. Because you will be sending it in at some point. The good thing is that customer service is good with atn. They will take care you you.
