If you can replace the supplied screws for mounting with longer ones and lap the rings to fit the tube you can end up with a great system.
This thing is built like a russian submarine and will take a bullet for you.
Had six of these initally and returned five due to the extra headaches.
If you are willing to do some gunsmithing you end up with a great item.
Pros: Functions with authority, clear and bright.
Cons: Mount and base truly substandard, chunky / heavy
