Good quality for the money. The photocell on the front adjust the brightness, based on ambient light. Hold up to an AR15's recoil and has been going strong for several years. I really have no complaints, perhaps a tighter moa?

Didn't hold zero on a 10.5" 7.62x39 AR pistol
The mounting bracket stripped the second I tried to install it on a different rifle.
I wouldn't recomend unless you're using it on a .22LR firearm.
The sight also doesn't turn off unless you put the cap back on either. Gigantic pain should you somehow misplace the cap.
Hopefully I'll be able to return it to Bushnell

Excellent MRDS for the money. Wasted hundreds on others. Finally found home. Long lasting battery life. Photo Cells create a very bright outside image. Easy to zero and holds zero. Mine mounted to a S&W .40 CORE.

Real POS Picatinney mounting system. Had to modify it to secure anchor to rail. Shoots higher than Giraffe nuts. I’d wait if you can spend more for higher quality. This is a $40.00 Red Dot tops! Not worth $135.00.
Cons:
- No light level adjustment

I bought a Bushnell First Strike for a 22 S&W When I mounted the red dot I couldn't find the red dot in the reticle finally I had to lower my my head about 6 inches to find the red dot. I contacted Bushnell and they told me to send it back an when I received it back it was still like it was before. It is sighting about 40" high I called them back and they told me they had problems with this model and the best thing to do was put a piece of pop can under the back and that should make the red dot come down. They didn't offer to repair it again or replace it so as of now I will no longer purchase any Bushnell products.

As usual there are no surprises with Bushnell equipment. It works, it is well thought out and gives good value for the money. The First Strike Red Dot is no different. If you are a good shooter it will make you a better shooter. You will notice a dramatic increase in on target acquisition. Once you get the knack of "finding the dot" everything gets faster from first shot impact to repeated hits on followup targets. Yes there are cheaper red dots on the market and more expensive ones. Bushnell is in that gap were expense is moderate but quality better than just about anything in its price class. If you are thinking about purchasing a red dot, just get the Bushnell First Strike. Really hard to beat in its class.
Pros:
- Rugged and Durable
- Good value. Excellent performance
Best Used for:
- plinking
- Steel Challenge and steel plate shooting
- Handgun Hunting

This sight was as expected, especially at the low price. I plan to put it on a Glock 40 10mm MOS. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks like it will fit properly and do the job it was made for. At any rate it looks good.
