I had started with iron sights on my Savage 99, then went to peep sight, but both were difficult for my old eyes. Next I went to a Leupold "pig plex" scope, but wasn't pleased with the reticles. Finally I put this little gem on my front Weaver scope mount and what a pleasure it is to shoot with. It is light and the rifle balances well. Initiall I had a Burris Fast Fire II mounted but it would not adjust to zero for me. This little gem was easy to set up.
