If you go the the DEFCON 5 website, this item is listed as having a NATO NUC listing. DEFCON 5 also says they are a supplier of the Italian military. I figured that this headdress was going to be the same kit worn by their armed forces. I probably should have figured that this would be too low of a price for something like that.
The hat seems ok quality, but it is made in Pakistan, all markings are in English (no Italian writing or sizes, and no NATO markings). Fabric is ripstop and seems quality, Camo is vivid, but all of this doesn’t matter because this hat looks dumb as dog s….. well you get the idea. My wife can pull off any had and even she made me giggle. I love the “Castro” cut and this isn’t it.
If this is what the Italian Military wears…their fashion has gone down hill

The hat seems high quality, but it is made in Pakistan, all markings are in English (no Italian writing or sizes, and no NATO markings). None of this makes me regret the purchase (especially if you get it on sale). Camo is vivid, it has a sweat band sewn in, vent holes that can be closed with Velcro flaps, and a nylon crown where you can thread vegetation for added camouflage.
So is this NATO issue?…Unknown…but it’s a fine hat within the price range
Really happy with my purchase. less money than other high end lines, but with similar ranging features. The included scope caps and honeycomb are made in Canada, but the optic itself is made in Japan. There is a guy online that does a full review of this scope. Worth a watch before assuming the established brands are the only options.
From reading the other comments, I was worried the laser would activate when the hammer was being pulled back on a trigger squeeze. This is not the case when using a Ruger SP 101.
The laser only lights up on hammer drop as it should. I remove batteries after every session. Ensure you place the laser (roughly) level in the barrel or you will have to adjust the point of impact each time.
Good metal magazine, cerakote covered, double stack to single feed design, so you save a little space, compared to single stack. I bought 3 in the 10 round and one 5 round and have had no problems so far in 6.5 Creedmoor. The reduced height cause the 10 rounders to sit flush in Condor M14 Mag holders. Some may find this harder to grab, but it can be fixed with a piece of foam.
