i was looking for a reasonably solid rest but light enough for actually using in the field. I plan to use it for long shots and sighting in rifles from a 17 HMR to a 257 Weatherby Magnum. After setting it up in the house and adjusting it for the lighter rifles, I feel certain it will cover my varmint hunting needs. I use a tripod camping chair with a small back and have been shooting from bipod shooting sticks. Stability is far better with this unit and recoil not an issue with the rimfires. I choose the camo because I will use it for varmints and it was worth the small premium.
