When I got this scope, I had a good impression of external look. Elegent glossy black finishing. Tripod was good, comes with a handy bag. But optics was bad. The achromatic doublet has single coated lense, another lense was just... normal glass? I saw some dust within the lense (what? new things have dust inside? Celestron must improve their quality control) Magnification was only useful until 18X (20mm eyepiece provided), 8mm was useless as image becomes too dim. The chromatic abberation was slight but a view inside the draw tube reviews a limiter inside which limit the actual aperature to reduce chromatic aberation. Even my trusty 20 year old Typnt 50X20 refractor telescope can defect this scope easily. Yes it is a cheap scope. Nope the quality is too bad for the price. Basically you pay for the tripod & bag, nothing else. Would go for the 70mm mpdel instead. Better value & aperature for money.
Pros: Cheap & Light
Cons: Will not provide good image for aperature
