Blade doesn't lock - Colt Tactical Rescue Knife

Well, I suppose it does lock, but only if I use two hands to make sure the blade is opened as far as it can go. It's unsafe to work with a knife when you think the blade is locked open but it's really not.

The thumb-assist lugs are pretty short, so when I get the blade about 2/3 open my thumb runs into the belt clip. I have to contort my hand to reach my thumb over the clip and open the blade the rest of the way. It's not possible to grip the knife securely during this process.

Using the lug on the back of the blade to open it halfway, then flicking the knife with a good hard snap does work pretty effectively.

It does seem to be a solidly-built knife.
